Blog

Hello! Welcome to my new site. This is my first blog post but I'm going to use this section to show process work on any current or older piece, discuss any upcoming work and to simply show a little bit about what I do.

Currently, I'm in my last quarter in college, more specifically in the last 3 weeks. Even in the last stretch, I'm discovering new techniques and ways of working. Lately, I've been exploring my surroundings and taking photographic textures of anything I find interesting or useful for my work. Being in Savannah, there are tons of surfaces and textures that would be difficult to find anywhere else. This city is quite old and overgrown with gorgeous foliage, tropical and otherwise, that seems to engulf the Painted Lady houses.

In The Bleak Mid-Finals

In a few days, I will no longer be a student. It will be the first time in 17 years that I will be able to say that. I've spent the better part of two decades learning, toiling and bullshitting through the perilous jungle that is school. All of my efforts over these years have earned me 3 letters to tack onto my name and a portfolio full of drawings that I've come to feel alright about.

Before that, I still have a few final critiques to bear, hoping and praying that my professor doesn't tell me to make too many changes (she probably will). I'd like to share a couple of the (supposedly) finished pieces.
